I am a procrastinator by nature. I’m great at making lists and then losing them. But, I grew up in a household of crafters, builders, and do-it-yourselfers, all with independent natures and a tendency toward at least partial self-employment. For my whole adult life I wanted to get back to the country and try to live somewhat off the grid and combine my love of nature and small scale, sustainable farming into a business of creating luxurious, highly scented goats milk soaps and lotions. I’ve found that procrastinating doesn’t work very well when there are goats to be milked, horses to be cared for, soap to be made and a home to renovate. No matter if we’re being attacked by horseflies or I’m covered with poison oak…things have to get done and surprisingly, they DO get done, and mostly on time! Life in the country, with a farm full of mouths to feed and poop to shovel seems to change a person’s list of priorities…for the better. Please join us here on the farm.
